Canon has recently launched three new Pixma G Series printers on March 8, 2023, namely the Pixma G1730, Pixma G2730, and the Pixma G3730. These new models add to the line of printers that Canon had previously released in December 2022, such as the G4770, G3770, G2770, and G1737.
Although the three new printers share similarities, each has unique features. One standout advantage from these printers is the easy ink refill ability that uses smaller ink tank sizes, making it more economical. Despite the smaller ink tanks, the printers can still print up to 3,100 black and white pages and 4,400 color pages in standard mode. Moreover, using the economy mode, users can print up to 3,900 black and white pages and 4,600 color pages. The print speed is also commendable, with a maximum of 11.0 ipm for black and white documents and 6.0 ipm for color ones.
While the Pixma G1730 is only limited to document printing, the Pixma G2730 and Pixma G3730 can scan alongside print. Moreover, the Pixma G3730 has the additional feature of Wi-Fi connectivity. According to Andryan Widyatmoko, the Marketing Manager of Canon Business Unit PT Datascrip, the company designed each printer’s features based on consumer needs.
In terms of eco-friendliness, the Pixma G1730, G2730, and G3730 will no longer use styrofoam in their packaging to contribute to an eco-friendly lifestyle.
Customers can purchase the new printers starting in April 2023. Each printer is reasonably priced, with the Pixma G1730 at Rp1.760.000, the Pixma G2730 at Rp2.260.000, and the Pixma G3730 at Rp2.970.000.
In conclusion, Canon’s Pixma G Series printers cater to both residential and industrial printing demands. Consumers can choose the model that best fits their needs, contributing to a more sustainable environment without breaking the bank.
