Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 Episode 8 Recap: Plan to Save the Agency
In the latest episode of Bungo Stray Dogs, which aired on Wednesday, February 22nd, we saw Atsushi devising a plan to save the agency by forming an alliance with Francis. The audience was left on tenterhooks, waiting for episode 9, which will likely reveal Francis’s true motives for partnering with the agency, the fate of the agency hidden in the port mafia, and Osamu Dazai’s incarceration in a European prison with Fyodor.
In the previous episode, the Agency’s detective group attempted to escape from military police. While Atsushi was trapped and struggled to escape, he was once again rescued by Kyoka. Meanwhile, port mafia member Chuuya arrived to rescue Yosano.
Episode 8 dubbed ‘A Wretched Child’ opened with Chuuya rescuing the agency group from the military police chase. After they reached the port mafia’s hiding place, the port mafia leader Mori Agai revealed that he had already made a deal with Fukuzawa, the head of the detective agency. They agreed that one agency member must join the port mafia. Kunikida volunteered to sacrifice himself.
The agreement revealed that the agency was in critical condition, and there seemed to be no other way to save it. Meanwhile, while Chuuya saved the agency team with a helicopter, one military police officer, Tetcho, managed to attack and capture one agency member, Kunikida, who then exploded. Kunikida’s status is still unknown, whether he survived or not.
Atsushi and Kyoka, who had been hiding for two days, finally went out to find food. While they were out and mingling with the crowd, they heard news about the agency being accused of terrorism. To save themselves, they decided to disguise themselves. Suddenly, Atsushi had an idea to meet Francis, one of the association’s executives.
However, when Atsushi and Kyoka arrived at Francis’s office, he was under attack. But Kyoka arrived just in time to save Francis. Shortly afterward, Atsushi met with Francis and explained the agency’s situation. Francis agreed to Atsushi’s offer on the condition that Margaret, one of his members, was sick and needed treatment from Yosano. What will happen to the Armed Detective Agency group?
