Boruto Chapter 79 Spoilers: Is Boruto the Greatest Manga of All Time?
Fans of Naruto and Boruto have declared the next generation series as the greatest manga of all time after spoilers emerged for the upcoming chapter. Boruto fans have been converted from being Naruto fans, following the latest scan of the new generation manga.
According to some readers, the upcoming chapter is so good that it solidifies Boruto as one of the greatest manga of all time, with some claiming that the series is now better than manga like My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and even One Piece. The comparison to One Piece has become one of the most popular, as some fans claim that Boruto creator Masashi Kishimoto’s writing in Chapter 79 is better than Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece across its entire 1000+ chapters.
Although there may be some hyperbole in these tweets, Boruto has gained popularity and changed the opinions of loyal Naruto fans. While the original Kishimoto series was criticized by some Boruto viewers during its early screenings, it seems that many have warmed up to the spin-off series.
Despite the consensus that Boruto has improved, there are still issues holding it back from reaching the heights of its predecessor. The main problem pointed out by fans is the inconsistent animation quality from the Studio Pierrot adaptation, which has gone from highly impressive to highly mediocre during its airing.
The anime is reported to be going on hiatus during this summer, which may give the studio the time to address some of the quality issues raised by fans. The hiatus could also be informed by Pierrot’s announcement of four new Naruto episodes set during the original anime airing, which will air around September 2023.
While the Boruto anime takes a break, fans can follow the manga, starting with the highly anticipated Chapter 79. The latest installment will be released on March 19, 2023, and will be available in English from VIZ Media.
Boruto Chapter 78 Recap
The previous chapter started with everyone reacting to Naruto and Hinata’s disappearance, with Little Himawari then learning that she is officially an orphan now. Shikamaru asks Ada to investigate the situation with his Senrigan, where he reveals the truth about Kawaki’s betrayal. They hurry to try and learn his location, but he is physically untraceable due to Ishiki’s Dojutsu, making it impossible to track him.
Boruto rushes home, as Ada casually announces that Kawaki plans to kill Boruto, again! Sarada is like, yeah, again? Remember in Chapter 69, Sasuka and the others told everyone not to inform what Kawaki said in Chapter 66, because it would cause him to be ostracized and panic the entire nation.
With the truth revealed and Boruto bearing the entire burden himself because his death is to protect the world from the threat of Momoshiki, he chases after him because Sarada can’t bear to imagine Boruto in danger and not doing anything to help.
Boruto is ambushed by Kawaki as he traps him in the portal but it’s absorbed by Kama, and they stand on top of the Hokage Monument, reflecting the time-skip scene from Chapter One. Kawaki confesses to being responsible for what happened to Naruto and Hinata, explaining that they are in a safe dimension where time has stopped. Therefore, they will not age or starve to death, but Boruto will never see them again.
That means if they open their seal in timescape, Naruto will be three years younger than all his classmates. But our young master denies choosing, however, one thing he can’t control is “Talk no Jutsu”, it’s not the same as Naruto, and that’s why he’s the GOAT!
Thus committing to his idea of whipping all Otsutsuki out of existence, Kawaki landed what he believed was the final blow on Boruto, but it… did nothing! These siblings have more than just Otsutsuki in them. However, there is one risk of using the cube in battle, and that’s because it reveals its location.
You might think, “Yeah, there’s a giant cube falling from the sky, you can’t miss it, and you’re absolutely right”, but the primary purpose of this cube other than just being a swamp is to disturb chakra signals, meaning that they are currently throwing the entire city into the Eno chakra division, giving away their entire position.
Their fight rages on as Boruto throws Thunderclap straight at Kawaki, dodging it in style. Roll back to their fight from Chapter 58, …
