According to One Piece Family on Twitter, Eiichiro Oda has finally revealed the purpose of Blackbeard’s visit to Egghead Island. He plans to kidnap the Gorosei, who have never been seen before or even died in Marijoa, for the first time in 30 years. He believes that the Gorosei possess superpower in One Piece. That’s why he intends to capture them and create a clash between light and dark powers.

Blackbeard is confident that he can take down the Gorosei. Admiral Kizaru, who has the power of light, is currently guarding them. On the other hand, Blackbeard is a Devil Fruit user with powers of darkness. If Blackbeard’s plan succeeds, fans of One Piece will see the clash between two opposing powers.
