Blackbeard Pirates Meet the Straw Hat Crew in Egghead Island

Posted on

The meeting between the Blackbeard Pirates and Luffy, Zoro, and Nami from the Straw Hat Crew on Egghead Island seems inevitable and will trigger a big fight on the island. Only Luffy, Zoro, and Nami have ever met Captain Kurohige, also known as Marshall D Teach, of the Blackbeard Pirates. The encounter between the Straw Hat Crew and the Blackbeard Pirates happened a long time ago, when they were on Jaya Island.

Since then, Kurohige has been targeting Luffy because of his high bounty. They met again during the Marineford War, although they did not directly engage with each other. Kurohige noticed the abilities of the Straw Hat Crew and all his pirate crew. As a result, he will be surprised to see the rapid development of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates’ abilities, as evidenced by their defeat of Kaido and Big Mom in the Onigashima fight.

Especially the improvement of the abilities of the three Straw Hat Crew members who have met Kurohige. They are even considered to have divine powers, like Luffy who can awaken Nika, Zoro with Ashura, and Nami with Zeus. The Blackbeard Pirate captain has certainly been monitoring Luffy’s journey until he became a Yonkou, but the whereabouts of his crew members seldom get exposed. Kurohige will see the progress of all the Straw Hat Pirates if they are indeed involved in a fight on Egghead Island.

To fight against someone as infamous as Kurohige, the Straw Hat Crew will prepare themselves by showing all their powers. This may trigger Zoro to use his ultimate technique, the power of his left eye. The mystery behind Zoro’s left eye power will finally reveal itself, since there have been many One Piece theories about it. If it is true that Zoro’s left eye has a great power and is used as an ultimate move, then it is likely the result of his training with Mihawk.

Zoro got an injury in his left eye during his two-year training with Mihawk, during the One Piece timeskip when he was separated from all the Straw Hat Pirates on Sabaody Island. After the time skip, Zoro showed all his new powers, including the injury on his left eye, which is believed to be truly powerful.
