Best Anime Finales that Left Fans Satisfied

Creating a great start to any anime is a must for every series. But having a great ending that satisfies fans is equally important. Unfortunately, not all anime series have the perfect finale, which can lead to disappointment among viewers. But there are still some great anime series out there with satisfying endings that leave fans feeling content. Here are three of the best.

1. Assassination Classroom

Assassination Classroom offers a unique and interesting story that captivates its audience. The series follows a class of junior high students who are tasked with killing their teacher, Korosensei. Korosensei is considered the greatest assassin and the most dangerous criminal in the world. However, he supports and guides his students in their assassination attempts, making sure no one gets hurt.

The finale of Assassination Classroom delivers what it promised from the series’ first episode. After saving the world from an imposter assassin, Korosensei is left helpless and the only option is for either his students or the government to end his life. In the end, Korosensei chooses his students to do the deed. While his death is the perfect ending for the show and the students’ graduation, fans are left with mixed emotions. Through many slice-of-life interactions with the class, fans became attached to Korosensei and didn’t want him to die. Nonetheless, the ending wrapped up the series nicely.

2. Clannad: After Story

Clannad is a heart-breaking yet simple romantic series that follows Tomoya Okazaki, a delinquent, as he becomes closer to Nagisa Furukawa. The two eventually start dating and get married. But life doesn’t go as planned for them. Nagisa dies shortly after giving birth to their daughter. Clannad: After Story doesn’t focus on the typical happily ever after and instead delves into how Tomoya copes with Nagisa’s death and reconnecting with their daughter, Ushio, who also dies at the end.

The finale of Clannad: After Story gives the series a much-needed happy ending by revealing that Ushio is just a girl in an illusionary world. After gathering enough orbs of light, Tomoya is able to change the course of events and rewrite history, something that fans hoped would happen. This gives the tragic saga a well-deserved happy ending.

3. Death Note

Death Note is a popular thriller and mystery anime series that has maintained its cult classic status for years. It follows Light Yagami, a high school student who discovers a magical notebook that has the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it. Light becomes a megalomaniac and starts killing criminals to create a better version of the world. When a detective named L Lawliet begins to investigate him, a game of cat and mouse ensues until Light ends up killing L.

The finale of Death Note is noteworthy because it delivers a conclusion that was predicted from the beginning. Ryuk, the Shinigami who owns the Death Note, warned Light that whoever used it would meet a tragic end. Light’s death, at the hands of Ryuk, was inevitable. What’s more, Light’s death remained unknown to the world, same as his alter ego Kira. In the end, Light succumbs to the same fate as all his victims: a heart attack.

In conclusion, these three anime series offer satisfying finales that left fans feeling content with how the stories ended. While not all anime series will have perfect finales, these three prove that there are still some that get it right.
