The Wrath of God is a 2022 thriller-drama movie directed by Sebastián Schindel. The movie features Luciana, who used to work as an assistant to a writer named Kloster. The movie follows a narrative that gets a bit confusing at times, as the story unfolds through flashbacks out of sequence with the present. The plot begins with several members of Luciana’s family dying in mysterious circumstances one after another. Luciana believes that these are acts of revenge by someone she knows from her past. However, she struggles to prove it.

Luciana’s life takes an unexpected turn when she reports workplace harassment by Kloster, and the former finds herself drawn into a complex quid pro quo between her accuser, the accused, and the accuser’s family. Since Kloster’s wife is depressed and unstable, events soon spiral out of control, and a family tragedy strikes. In an effort to move on, Luciana takes her family on holiday. However, more tragedy ensues when her brother dies.

Years later, Luciana tries to expose Kloster for the evil person she believes he is, but no one seems to believe her. As a result, she enlists the help of Esteban Ray, a former colleague who worked with her and now writes for a media outlet. Esteban begins to investigate Kloster, but the latter denies any wrongdoing. Meanwhile, Luciana becomes increasingly worried that the rest of her family is in danger. When she learns that her sister Valentina admires Kloster’s work, she fears that her sibling might be next.

Eventually, Luciana must confront Kloster, who admits to his crimes and asks her to end his cycle of revenge. Luciana decides to sacrifice herself to protect her family and jumps off a building, which leads to her death. In the end, Esteban realizes that Kloster is after Valentina and sets out to protect her.
