Another mystery surrounding Shanks is how he was able to master Kamusari, a technique used by those who hold the title of “King of the Pirates.” Kamusari involves channeling Haoshoku Haki into a sword and swinging it forward with a 180-degree rotation, causing the sword strike to emit a powerful Haki blast. Shanks was able to master this technique as a member of Roger’s crew, but it is said that he learned the basic technique from Silvers Rayleigh.
